Genesys Testing and Access Policy
Overview
Section titled “Overview”This methodology outlines the process for creating and managing testing accounts within our DevOps environment. It ensures that all testing accounts adhere to security protocols and are used appropriately during testing phases.
Genesys Access via Account Types
Section titled “Genesys Access via Account Types”- User Principal Name (UPN) Accounts
- Example:
erikk.isfeld@maximuscanada.ca - Permissions: Should not have Master Admin or any admin permissions in all Genesys Organizations.
- Security: Required to use Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

admin.eisfeld@maximuscanada.ca - Permissions: Used to administrate all Genesys Organizations.
- Security: Required to use SSO and MFA.

Testing Procedure
Section titled “Testing Procedure”- Modify Role
- Use your Admin account to modify your UPN account’s role to the role type you are testing.
- Perform Testing
- Use the UPN account to perform the necessary tests.
- We do not create test accounts for users (e.g. Erikk - Test Supervisor) in Entra ID or Genesys
- External users are forbidden from having admin rights in any org.
